Inter RAO - Export and Energoimport reached an agreement to conclude a contract for the modernization of three 100 MW power units in Cuba
INTER RAO - Export LLCand the Cuban public electric company Energoimport endorsed an agreement on final arrangements for the conclusion of a contract and the organization of its financing in the framework of the project for the reconstruction and modernization of three power units with a unit installed capacity of 100 MW in the Republic of Cuba.
“Our company has been actively working on this project since 2016. It refers to the modernization of two units at the Maksimo Gomez TPP and one at the Antonio Maceo TPP. At present time, we are finalize the mutual approval of technical conditions and negotiate the basic commercial conditions of the future contract. Its specific cost and amount of financing will be determined later. The signed agreement consolidates the agreements reached and outlines further steps to develop the project until the conclusion of the contract, which we expect to sign in the autumn of 2019”, said Maxim SERGEEV, Director General of INTER RAO - Export LLC.
The agreement was signed within the framework of the 16th Intergovernmental Russian-Cuban Commission on Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technological Cooperation, which was held in Havana from October 29 to October 30.
